Overview

The Department of Radiology & Imaging at AMCCu provides comprehensive diagnostic imaging services to support all clinical departments. The department is equipped with modern imaging technology and offers training in radiological interpretation to MBBS students and postgraduate trainees.

From plain radiographs to advanced cross-sectional imaging, students develop the ability to interpret investigations critically and correlate findings with clinical presentations.

Key Features:

  • Digital X-Ray: Modern digital radiography with rapid reporting for all inpatients and OPD patients.
  • Ultrasonography: Real-time ultrasound services including Doppler studies and guided interventions.
  • CT Scanner: Multislice CT for detailed cross-sectional imaging of all body systems.
  • MRI: High-field MRI for advanced neurological, musculoskeletal, and abdominal imaging.
  • Interventional Radiology: Fluoroscopy-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Teaching Viewboxes & PACS: Digital image viewing systems for structured radiology teaching.

The department houses a 16-slice CT scanner, 1.5T MRI machine, digital X-ray units, 4 ultrasound machines, and a fluoroscopy suite for interventional procedures.
